Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy Visakhapatnam is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India. It was established by the Indian Government in 2016 and was declared as ‘Institute of National Importance’ under Indian Institute of Petroleum & Energy Act, 2017. IIPE has joined major oil and gas corporations such as ONGC, HPCL, IOCL, Oil & GAIL.
