IIT is Indian Institute of Technology. This is one of the top government technology college. For admission this you have to give JEE Mains and clear it then give JEE Advance then you will get chance for bachalor degree. Otherwise for masters and PhD you have to give IIT Jam examination and NET examination.

So this is government institutions but lot's of activities are there , fees will higher than others government college. Like IIT Bombay fees total 9 lakh around, IIT Kharagpur 10 lakh around etc. This are total fees including hostel also for general category student. For SC, st category student fees will be low. Iit/nits are government collleges and are considered to be one of the most premier institutions for engineering.

For getting into these colleges you need give jee mains entrance exam for nits and jee advanced for IITs.

The fee structure of these colleges in course of four years is 8 L for nits and 11L for IITs.

Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you I.I.Ts are central government funded institutes in I.I.TS you have to give fees which is very much low as compared to other private colleges where fees of one semester is in lakhs.
