yeah Your choice of getting the 300+ marks in JEE mains paper 2 is perfectly all right 

but the thing is that paper 2 is the mainly you should do the lot of pratice so that compare to paper 1 the paper 2 is difficult and also in this some of the drawings also you should learn alot 

so refer the previous year papers of paper 2
