According to me, the CSE is better than IT.As CSE is having more opportunities than IT.
Better go with CSE which is better for your future.

Hi,

First and foremost remember that CS and IT are not the same fundamentally:

CSE focuses on the foundation of computing  which inolves a wide range of activities ranging from design of microprocessors, PCs and supercomputers to circuit designing and writing software that powers them whereas IT as a discipline focuses primarily on satisfying the computing needs of the organisations. IT mainly deals with installation, development and implementation of computer systems and applications.

Now as you wish to know more about scope,

Job roles offered to IT professionals are:

  • Network Engineer
  • Analyst
  • Web developer
  • Systems Engineer

Job roles offered to CS professionals are:

  • Software Engineer
  • Technical Consultant
  • Systems Analyst
  • Database Associate Engineer

Now placement, career growth and further scope depends on your college as well as your will to suceed in life.

Hope this helps!
