Hello Vicky,

There are four subjects in Group 1 and three subjects in Group 2. You will need to clear Group 1 to initiate your articleship training. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India also permits a student to carry on one additional course along with CA, the details of which are required to be furnished. Further, full details of your articleship firm and timings would be recorded.

Articleship is not a stage rather a prerequisite to become a CA which may take off as soon as you clear Group 1.
