Dear Student ,

This question depends on various conditions like ,

  1. If you want to do diploma in Computer Engineering , then JEE is not required. Polytechnic Entrance exam will be then suggested for you to appear .
  2. If you want to get admission in any state engineering colleges that offers B.Tech through State Entrance exams ( like for Gujrat , GUJCET and etc. ), then in that case also, appearing in JEE Main is optional
  3. JEE Main will be compulsory ,if you want to get admission in NITs , GFTIs and to be eligible for JEE Advanced .
  4. JEE Advanced is basically getting admission in IITs after clearing required cut off for your preferred branch .  \
