For the Assam SEBA Class 10 matric examination it is not compulsory by the board to pass or even appear in pre board exams for eligibility or for getting the admit card. Pre board exams are conducted by schools only to check students preparation level and to make them familiar with the final exam pattern. The Board of Secondary Education Assam issues admit cards based on student registration and completion of required attendance and internal assessment records submitted by the school. Even if a student does not perform well in pre boards the school can still issue the admit card as long as the student is officially enrolled and eligible under Board of Secondary Education Assam rules. However some schools may make pre board attendance compulsory as part of their internal policy so students should follow their school instructions.
