Yes After CSE branch IT is the best stream in Pict college.

The faculties are very much experienced and helpful,friendly.

The placement is almost same as that of CSE being around 90 percent and more.

The average package being around 3-4 lakhs per annum .

You should definitely join if you are interested in this field .

IT has an edge over CSE for a these reasons:

1. Friendly professors.
2. Attendance isn’t as big a deal.
3. Better scoring in University Papers - This is slightly subjective but I felt IT folks used to get more marks than us on an average.
4. Because your life is relatively chill, you get more time to focus on hacking up side projects, taking MOOCs, virtual internships, etc.

Besides this, the placement and further education opportunities for CSE and IT are almost exactly the same.
