Hey Aditya Sangal,

If you are dropping a year for JEE MAINS be sure that the year won't get wasted,If you are fully confident then drop a year for JEE MAINS.If you drop then don't waste your time because you are losing one year and preparing for JEE MAINS,prepare well and  try to learn more concepts as possible.

And even don't prepare at home go to coaching centres and even try to practise previous year question papers.Hope you write well!
All the best!

Do not drop a year if you are not confident about staying focused. Join a college instead and concentrate on your studies. However, having figured out your weaknesses and mistakes, if you know that you can do better by preparing for another year, go for it. There are many instances where people dropped a year and then did really great in the next year.

In case you decide to drop a year, make sure to have a well-structured study plan.

All the very best and good luck.

I also don't recommend dropping an year for it. If you feel like you can crack the exam with a better rank next time, so do join a college which is the best you can get this year and prepare for it being in the College managing the time for your engineering and mains. And believe me, joining a college will help you a lot in your preparation as the syllabus of first year covers nearly all the topics of JEE. I won't recommend dropping an year and wasting a precious year of your life. But, it can be chosen solely depends on you. My advice is to join a UG program.

dear aditya

this is totally upto you, you want to drop a year or not.

but let me tell ypu one thing that even students who not drop a year also secure a good rank and the who drop their 1-2 year for JEE MAINS not able to secure good rank.

so, cracking the JEE depends on your calibre. How devoted and focused you are to acheive your aim.

if you feel like you can crack jee after droping a year then ofcourse you can drop, but once again do self analyise.

best of luck
