is it important to clarify Neet to become a psychiatrist? because I wanted to join a college and get a degree?

Yes, NEET is mandatory for being a psychiatrist. You may be hearing from some people saying NEET is not important for getting a seat. It's a false news, people get confused in between psychiatrist and psychologist. Here two are different courses where psychologist don't need NEET andfor psychiatry NEET is mandatory.

Psychiatrists are the mbbs doctors along with a MD IN PSYCHIATRY

So if you wish to become a psychiatrist you need to have mbbs as a basic qualification with one year internship. And admissions in mbbs are done through neet, so you need to attempt neet. But if you wish to do psychology then there is no need of attempting neet.
