Dear Tabish, the Supreme Court has passed an order stating that Aadhar card is not mandatory for Academic and Entrance Examination purposes. So it is not really mandatory to carry Aadhar Card with you. However instead of Aadhar card, you can carry any other Photo Identity proof like our Voters Id, Driving license, etc. But if you want to carry Aadhar Card along with you, you may do so.

Hello Tabish,

The supreme court declared that unique identification number Aadhaar cannot be made mandatory for any national entrance examination for now.

The court said other forms of identification such as voter ID, passport or ration card can be used to register for or appear in the coming NEET. This means even a candidate who has Aadhaar is not required to produce it for appearing in national entrance tests like NEET.

So no, it is not really necessary to carry Aadhar Card on the day of paper. Though, I would suggest that you should carry because it will help in case any unexpected anomaly arises.

Hope this satisfies your query, any feedback or further queries are heartily welcomed.

Thank you.
