This is not necessary for that , as JEE mains won't intake the student's based upon their subject wise cuttoff, only one thing you have to keep in mind that inoder to take the crack the JEE mains only your overall percentile will taken into the account.  So try to fetch the more percentile in the JEE mains such that your chances for getting into the JEE Advanced will be easier.
