There is no pre requisites for learning computer science and engineering considering you will be taught from basics. However it is strongly recommended to have some basic knowledge about programming languages which will help you understand things better. If you want to get amazing packages and offers you need to to build your programming skills from as early as possible. During the four years of your engineering you will come across several languages which will include python, Java, c ,c plus plus JavaScript and many more. So you should start learning either python or java which act as the basic languages from now onwards so that you will have better understanding of algorithms and syntax of core programming.

See, its not mandatory to have any pre knowledge about coding before opting for CSE. But it is well and good if you have some knowledge about coding. After getting into CSE branch, you can try and polish your coding skills and you will get many chances to do so. But having nil knowledge about coding will give you stress in your initial days in college. I will suggest you to have some basic knowledge about coding before you join the college because that will help you to cope up with the studies going on in your college.

It's not necessary at all to have pre coding knowledge or knowledge of any programming language before you opt for computer science and engineering from any college in India . If you know something about it, it will be an added advantage but even if you don't know anything that's totally fine, it won't make a difference .
