is it necessary to pass in additional maths subject? will the overall result considered be pass or fail?

Hi Mankirat,

No,You have to pass in only 5 subjects however in your marks sheet the marks of 6th subject will be given which will create a bad impact.Also i want to mention that for most of institutions percentage is calculated by considering top 5 subjects however some universities like D.U consider top 4 but some like IISER consider all appeared subjects(so here if you are fail in one then your %age will get very low.)

However CBSE has no issue with 6th paper as fail and overall you will be passed.

then the candidate is eligible to get addmission in Btech colleges if he failed in maths as additional subject ?
