Hey,
There is no need to write thr National Eligibility cum entrance test or NEET to get admission in All India Institute of Medical Science(AIIMS).
The admission to the various medical colleges in India for MBBS is through three gateways- NEET,AIIMS and JIPMER.
AIIMS is an autonomous organisation that conducts it's separate entrance exam for admission to it's colleges.While NEET is a different national level entrance exam that is necessary to get admission in all the government and private medical colleges across India for MBBS and BDS courses.

Hi Abhijith, hope you are doing well, no it's not mandatory to write NEET for joining the AIIMS. AIIMS is only for aiims college whereas neet is necessary for government, private or foreign college entry. AIIMS conduct their own entrance exam for admission.

Hey dear!!
No it's not at all necessary or not even valid to write NEET to get into AIIMS . AIIMS have its own entrance exams for mbbs/bds seats in total 8 AIIMS.
Aiims paper consist of 200 questions. 60 each of bio , chemistry , physics and 10 each of general knowledge and attitude.
Correct answer gets +1 marks and -1/3 marks for wrong answer.
All questions are of multiple choice question and assertion reason.
Exam is held on last week of may very year.
