In India, becoming a DM Neurologist directly after completing MBBS is not possible. After completing MBBS, you should undergo further specialized training and education to become a Neurologist.

The procedure is as follows:

  • After completing MBBS, appear for the exams like NEET PG for admission to MD/MS/DM/MCh courses.
  • After qualifying in entrance exam, pursue a specialization in General Medicine or diplomate of national board in medicine.
  • After that you can apply for DM in Neurology.
  • During DM Neurology program, you will undergo some clinical training.
  • Upon completion of DM Neurology program, you should pass the exam conducted by the respective medical universities to get certification as a Neurologist.
  • After obtaining all the qualifications and certifications you can register and start your practice as Neurologist.
