Hello aspirant,
I am here for helping you....
By considering your doubt I want to inform you that after doing automobile engineering it will be good to do ME in industrial metallurgy.
But it depends upon your desire where you want to go.
What you want to do in your future.
In what field you actually want to go.
Because additional knowledge can never give zero output if you are going for additional knowledge it will give at least a single fruit which will sooner or later be of your matter.
I hope it will be beneficial for you....

Hello,
Of course you can choose IE as specialization
for M.Tech if you are a automobile
Engineering graduate

Coming to the "tougher" part, as you very
well know that M.Tech is an advanced level
degree with the aim to arm you with deeper
knowledge of your specialization. The level of
courses will be way more advanced than the
B.Tech level.
Hope it helps
