No Ragging.Foundation batches are always everybody's dear ones.You will truly own the college by heart for your lifetime.Teachers will be a bit lenient.You will always be remembered as the first batch of the college.

Cons

No guidance from the seniors.You'll fail miserably in some of your tests.You'll face a new environment without any support from anyone. The faculty won't support you.The college would not be well established - lack of cafeteria, gym, sports complex.Nearly dead college fest. Calling a gathering of 100 students, a college fest, is a sin.You won't be able to figure out what is important and what is not. You'll be on your own, completely.You won't know the true faces of your professors. 

Any new college or institution usually faces a lot of problems of infrastructure and management for the first two years, even if it is government. So it will be better for you to join a government medical college which is older, if you have the chance. All the best!

According to me it is great to join new government medical college and it is not a worst decision because if you are not eligible for getting admisssion in other top government colleges it is ok rather than joining any other private colleges.
