Hello,

After registration, NTA will release merit list of candidates who are eligible for appearing jee advance exam. If you see your details in that list then you can appear the exam.

In case there will be 6lakh to 7 lakh candidates who satisfy cutoff to become eligible for jee advance, top 2.5 lakh students will be selected for the process.

How? They will categorised by reservation categories. There are 6 reservation category. So many students will come in each of them.
