Hello...

Both are two different fields so you can not compare . There are many private colleges like BITS,VIT etc and they are giving strong competition to even top NIT'S and low rank IIT'S. But if you are not getting these private college then surely marine engineering is best choice. If you are interested in clicking selfie with dolphin marine engineering is waiting for you.

FUTURE CAREER IN MARINE ENGINEERING:-

The career opportunities are immense in private, educational, corporate and governmental sectors. You can work either onshore or offshore. The latter is quite demanding as you have to stay away from the land for months on end. However, if a government job is what you want, Marine engineering can land you up in the Naval services. Apart from the lucrative salary and perks, it is a matter of pride and joy to serve the country in the waters. Aspirants can also get opportunities in marine metals and corrosion, renewable energy, remote sensing, offshore oil recovery, underwater vehicles and marine transportation. Starting off as a Fifth (junior) engineer, the promotions depends on the efficiency shown.

Hii Ankit

Both Marine Engineering and Engineering has great career scopes Ahead. It totally depends upon your choice. As a Marine engineer you can join private or government shipping companies and earn in dollars. later you can switch to any off shore jobs or teaching in Marine institutes. You can apply for any Government organization with your graduation degree. As a engineer also you can work in your domain, IT field, Government jobs, Banking jobs, Higher studies etc. You can also pursue your B.tech in Mechanical engineering then go for post graduation in marine engineering colleges so that you can have a option for switch to both fields. So Both of these have good career option. The Choice depends upon you.

Thank you.
