No, Mathematics is not compulsory for JET (Joint Entrance Test for Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Fisheries, Forestry and other allied sciences) if you are from the PCB group . JET allows candidates with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) or Agriculture in 10+2. Since you are studying in 11th with the Science PCB group , you are fully eligible to appear. Only if you want to take admission in courses like B.Tech Dairy Technology or Food Technology , then Mathematics becomes necessary. For other programs such as B.Sc Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries etc. , PCB is enough.

In short: You can appear for JET with PCB, but if you aim for engineering-oriented agri programs , then Mathematics is compulsory.

Hey,

Yes mathematics is compulsory for JET exam because it is an entrance exam for btech ( engineering) program so mathematics and physics are the compulsory subject in it . If you are a PCB student still your optional subject should be maths otherwise you are not eligible for jet exam thankyou .

Hello,

Yes, mathematics is compulsory for the JET exam with other subjects like chemistry, biotechnology, biology or a technical vocational subject. Overall, meaning as a PCB student, you can't appear for the JET exam.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Hello

Mathematics is generally compulsory for JET if you want to pursue engineering courses. Since you're studying PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), you may not be eligible for engineering via JET.
However, for biology-based courses like B.Sc. in Agriculture, Biotechnology, etc., Maths is not required. JET eligibility depends on the institution or state conducting it.
For example, Rajasthan JET allows PCB students to pursue agriculture courses. Check the official website of the specific JET exam for exact eligibility criteria.

Yes, Mathematics is the crucial subject and carries significant weightage in the exam. as JEE is a highly competitive exam that can get you into IITs, NITs and many more prestigious collages. These collages offer engineering courses and mathematics plays a significant role in it.
