In the first year of engineering the subjects for all the branches are approximately same. And if you think that in B.tech.(Biotechnology) branch is free of mathematics then this is your misuderstanding because it's also including mathematics.

So, if you are interested in if you are interested in B.tech Biotechnology branch then you must have the focus on subject like mathematics these are the base.
