YES, Mathematics is necessary for Bsc Information Technology course. Not only mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects in class 12th is also necessary for pursuing bsc IT course from any University. The candidate must have studied physics chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects in his 10 + 2 class level. Without mathematics subject the candidate cannot apply for information technology course . Admission basis for different colleges are either entrance based or merit based.
