if you are looking for a fancy career in a top MNC or the corporate world, then you have limited options after studying microbiology.

but, the government sector has enormous scope for microbiology.

after studying microbiology, you can become a scientist in ICAR or CSIR. you may futhur me promoted to principal scientist and even the package is great in the begining itself. 

you may otherwise get an opportunity to work in a pharmaceutical company.

you may even become a teacher or a professor.

make sure you do it from a reputed university like delhi university.
