MNIT Jaipur is a government college. The institute is fully funded by the Government of India and the Ministry of Education (Shiksha Mantralaya). Established in 1963, the college was a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan. The college is recognised both by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Education (MoE).
