Dear aspirant,
Mobile is a basic thing in the current generation and all do have a mobile phone and i dont think there is any restriction to keep a mobile phone with you in hostel until and unless you are pursuing any army course. But still mobiles are allowed in every hostel irrespective of whichever course you take.
