Model engineering  college:  college is not that much compared to other govt college in terms of campus land acres .But the college is excellent for placements especially in CSE and ECE . Nearly 80 companies came to the college for recruitment . The highest packages offered last year were 33 lpa , 31 lpa , 24.5 lpa . Every year more than 90% of students from ECE and CSE get placed in various companies . if u r looking to take either CSE or ECE in Kerala the best college I prefer is NIT-C,CET,MODEL

GEC: The wholeness of GEC itself is the best thing about GEC. The avenues that are opened up for the student community is much that they (atleast I found so) don't get time to be bored. The immense freedom that you get to try your hands at literally anything will make you a person of multi-talents. The buzz you feel in the campus, healthy political participation, places to chill out (gallery is my personal favorite), nice eateries around, a lot of highly active student clubs, 100% anti-ragging seniors (they are so chill, and freshmen never feel the gap), a very good teaching community (my dept PE has the best, I'd boast :-P), a good alumni network, more than decent performance in placements.And  the "DYUTHI" tech-fest!
