Mtech in environmental science is a postgraduate course. It is actually a very good career option. The scope is very wide. You can work as:

Research assistant
Lecturer
Research fellow
Environmental journalist
Geoscientist
Atmoshphere scientist
Forester
Cartographer
Wildlife film maker etc
