NCERT Chemistry book is really good for building basic concepts , but when it comes to entrance examinations like in JEE mains which is highly competitive , then NCERT chemistry is good but is not enough if you want to get good marks. Especially , the Physical and  organic part of NCERT is not sufficient for your JEE Mains,  although inorganic part of NCERT is quite good and sufficient.
