Ncert is very much important for neet.

Almost 75% directly comes as application from NCERT as per my friend who gave the exam previous year.

But for 25 %, they require some higher order thinking skills.

NCERT books are to be read and kept in highest priority. Almost 75-80% questions are directly from the book.

For rest of the conceptual or factual 20-25% questions, you will need to practice reference books.

All the best.

NCERT is of utmost importance when you are preparing for NEET-UG entrance.

However, it'll only give you a subset of the topics that you need to study. For in depth study and practice, you'll be needing other references.

NCERT has to be the first book on your reading list and after that any other book.

Most of the questions from inorganic chemistry are asked from NCERT. Concepts of physical and organic chemistry can be asked from NCERT.
