 According to Government, there are two kinds of OBC. One is creamy layer who is financially stable. This type of OBC falls under general category itself. Then there is Non-Creamy Layer which refers to the financially challenged sector of OBC. Depending on which category you fall in, stated reservation benefits would be applicable. Most colleges do consider a separate cut off rank list for OBC NCL. But some do not and in that case it would fall under general category itself. I request you to kindly go through information brochure of required college / exam to find out whether OBC NCL is applicable in your case. Thank you!
