hi,

see no profession is bad, you must know that each of the job has its own criteria , growth, advantage in the society. optometry is the course of studies which involves the study of eye, different types of lenses, technique of the measurement of eye power, handling of different instrument needed for eye checkups etc. optometrist are responsible for examining the eyes and applicable visual systems for defects or abnormalities as well as the correction of refractive error with glasses or contact lenses for  treatment of eye diseases. bachelor in optometry is a 4 years duration course after completing 10+2 course. eligibility criteria is candidates must complete 10+2 course from a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects.

an experienced optometrist can draw a monthly salary of 30-40k . however since the course is mostly practical oriented , after completing the course candidates must join for internship to get hands on experience.
