The counseling for NEET PG 2022 will be conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). It will be conducted in online mode on the site mcc.nic.in.
The round 1 for counseling will start on September 1st, 2022.
Now you have to deposit an amount when the counseling process begins. Suppose you have been allotted a seat in round 1 of the Counseling but you do not wish to take admission. Then you are free to exit the counseling process and the deposit will be refunded to you. If you wish to take that seat you can choose the same and the deposit will be adjusted in your college fee.
Now in round 2 you do not have any free exit option. Suppose you are allotted a seat in round 2 of the process, then you are supposed to take that seat only else you'll lose your deposit amount. It will be forfeited.
Therefore, free exit is only for round 1 of the process. Security money will be forfeited if the candidate fails to report for admission at the allotted college in round 2.
However if you do not get any seat allotted in any of the rounds, then the total security amount is refunded to you.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the counselling for NEET PG 2022 in the online mode at mcc.nic.in. As per the latest update, MCC has released the NEET PG 2022 counseling dates at mcc.nic.in. The registration for round 1 of NEET PG counselling will commence on September 1, 2022.

Candidates participating in round two of MCC NEET PG 2022 counselling must note that there is no option of ‘free exit’ in the second round of counselling. If a candidate does not secure his NEET PG admission 2022 in the college/seat allotted during round two, his/her refundable security deposit will be forfeited.

so if you have been allotted a college in round 2 counseling of NEET PG and you don't report & take admission to allotted college then your security deposit will be forfeited means will not be refunded.

In NEET PG counseling, free exit is valid only upto first round of counseling otherwise if you get college in any other round further then you will have to take admission or forfeit your security deposit.

If you don't get allotted college in any round of counseling then you security deposit will be refundable according to rules.
