Career as pharmacist involves aligning with health facilities, private doctors, clinics, and every pharmaceutical organisations. Their duties include educating medical professionals on medications and their applications in the healthcare industry. They also review safety rates for newly manufactured medicinal products, recommendations for medicinal products with a proper diet, prescription or non-prescription medicinal products, and advise on appropriate types of medicinal products, such as pills, vaccines, injections, ointments, syrups, etc. The processing, marketing, and delivery of the medications are also managed by pharmacists.

The pharmaceutical industry is growing more rapidly in India, followed by a joint venture agreement and a rise in foreign direct investment. In the coming years, as Indian medicines are becoming increasingly prevalent in many parts of the world due to cost efficiency and increased availability, the sector will be a major focus field. The cost of production by Indian pharmaceutical companies is up to sixty-five percent lower than that of US companies and about half that of European companies. Indian pharmaceutical growth has been at a higher level. The reasons behind this are the globalisation, democratisation and modernization of the Indian economy and, in part, the ageing population and new medical and diagnostic technologies, which are growing. Chemical discovery may be achieved by discovering or creating new medicines. In various parts of the nation, such as Chennai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Noida , Gurgaon, a career as pharmacist has plenty of scope. Hi Vanshika....

If you interested and passionate about it, you can surely make it big. Be it any career- the passion, the zeal, and requisite knowledge and skills, are required, and you can achieve the desired success.

Pharmacy , to define precisely, is the science and technique of preparing, researching, and distributing medicinal drugs. Generally, people believe that pharmacists can only work in chemist shops, dispensaries, and medical stores. However, this is not true. They can work in community pharmacies, hospitals, long-term care facilities, the pharmaceutical industry, mail-order pharmacy centers, managed care organizations, and government agencies.

The scope of pharmacy today includes global healthcare which has given rise to clinical research, medicinal manufacturing, and marketing, for improvement or maintenance of a patient’s quality of life and provides them with drug information.

The growth might be slow, and finding the right opportunity can get difficult but If you have it in you, I am sure you’d find a way.

Any decision should not cost you to give up on interest. Should it?

All the best!
