During my counselling I had the same issue. I didnt have my income certificate and needed 1 day next to my date of counselling. In that case, I asked the person who was verifying the certificates. He was okay with it and asked to get it on the next day. So if you lack any document on your verification day, you can still submit it on other day. So it's always better to talk and ask the people who are verifying our certificates. They will definitely help.
