yes in case of mathematics rd sharma is one of the best one for any competitive exams .

but it is not the only one so please go through various text book which provides you with difficulty level which are different and useful in every aspect.

Yes, it is good for jee but you must have to look on das gupta, it is  nicely explained and for 12 th you can consider RD Sharma for MCQ question only for any other questions you can simply refer your boards book. I hope this will helps you and all the best for future .
