From my experience, college life in the beginning won't be all good. It gets better as you progress with your course.

• Now, coming to your question, SIT isn't all that strict . Teachers and HOD's won't pressurise you to study, however a small pressure will be there from thier side.

• College infrastructure and overall ambience isn't so good. I'd say, it is satisfactory.

• Ragging is dealt as a serious issue.

• Placements are Okay. You have a good aggregate, you're most likely to get placed.

• Extra curricular and co curricular activities are quite poor here. Also the tech workshops are rarely held.

Is it a good college? We'll, it all depends on you. There is no Perfect College. SIT isn't impressive with its looks but study for 4 years there and I'm sure you'll leave with tears.
