Well St.Xavier's kolkata chemistry is quite good, st xaviers is one of the top ranked colleges of kolkata,many of st xavier's ex students have qualified JAM for pursuing Msc in IIT's , IISC etc and many students also are currently doing research and P.hd in universities like standford, university of chicago,jadavpur university, IIT D,IIT B etc, has good faculty and infrastructure.

Also some equivalent good colleges are Jadavpur and Presidency university for chemistry honours.
