Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies offers a two-year, full-time MBA programme at the postgraduate level. Candidates who have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from Engineering as well as Arts, Science and Commerce field and who have obtained at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for candidates who belong to reserved category) in the qualifying examination, can apply for admission. Admission to the MBA offered at VIMS is based on percentile obtained by candidates in the TANCET / CET/ MAT / CAT/ other entrance tests, as well as the performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Therefore, candidates can appear for any entrance examination, and it is not compulsory to appear for TANCET for admission to MBA at VIMS.
