First and foremost thing in engineering is that if you are good in your field then only you will bang a good placement . As more and more students find it easy to go with engineering so the competition has risen.

Now coming to the comparison,

Civil engineering is not good in future prospect as it doesn't have more diversity in the placement sector. People choose Civil engineering as it is a core subject and comes in all government examination like GATE, RAILWAY. If you want to appear for government exams you should go with civil engineering.

But if you want a good placement after your four year BTECH degree will suggest you to go with branch like Computer Science Or Information Technology. This branch is in demand and hence guarantees placement if done from a good college.

Choose wisely as per what you want to do in your future.
