It depends from organization to organization how it is conducting the counselling process. Generally, there are set of rounds during counseling. In each round, candidate has chance to change and manipulate the list of desired colleges and it is important to make this list seriously. It will help you to land the best possible college for your rank.

If at any round you get a seat in some college, you will get a temporary allotment letter listing the institute. It is important to chose whether you want to stay with the college or participate in further rounds.

At the end, you will have your final allotment letter of your college, in which date of physical documents verification is mentioned. You need to visit with all the documents (list can be downloaded from college website) to your institute at sharp date and time.

There you need to verify all the documents and pay your first year college fees. Now you are a formal student of the allotted college.
