Is the IIT tag important (with a lower branch, ie. Mining, Environmental) or should I give preference to branches like CSE, ECE, Mech, in NITs and IIITs?

Hello Sohith Bandari,

Well, this question depends on

  • If you've already identified your enormous area of interest, then college doesn't matter, you can so for second best institutes, i.e. NITs and IIITs, but
  • If you are yet to identify, then you need a better platform to explore, and you should go for best institutes like IITs.

Hope This Helps,

All the Best, feel free to ask any further query...
