Bsc is one of the most chosen course by Indian students who pass out from science field.

If you want to proceed your career in Biotechnology them I will recommend you to go for B.Tech Biotech instead of Bsc

As in India just after Bsc. in a particular subject you won't have any opportunity in the particular field until you do Masters or Phd in the following subject.

Therefore I will recommend you to go for bsc General so that you may go for any field after completion of of your graduate degree.

Yeah you may apply for some government job like Civil Services, SSC CGL, a lot more but non of these job will be related to science.

Just choose your field wisely and go for it.
