Dear Aspirant,

    Firstly, GATE exam for ECE and EEE are totally different and they don't come under the same such as EE. Actually, EE is the paper code for both the students hailing from EE and EEE departments. And the ECE students will have a separate one like GATE ECE. Although, EEE students can easily give GATE paper from ECE branch since they'll have the knowledge regarding that aspects.

Also, the common subjects in these being Network analysis, Signals and Systems, control systems, digital electronics, etc.., But they do differ in some subjects such as Electrical machines, power systems, communication systems and Electronics devices, etc..,
