There are around 53 MBBS colleges in Karnataka. Out of these, 18 are government while 35 are private colleges. Students are admitted into these by the marks scored in NEET.

85% seats are reserved under the state quota, while 15% seats belong to All India Quota(AIQ). Admission to these AIQ seats require marks around 50th percentile, and then they are given admission by counselling undertaken by Medical Counselling Comittee.
