You may not get a seat in your desired college but that doesn't mean that you won't get a seat in any college in India. Your application in a particular college may stand to cancel if you cannot provide the documents for the details mentioned in the form, like caste certificate or your rank card. Other than these, you can get admission in colleges. Maybe you can't get your target college because you have not achieved the cutoff marks but still you can get into many lower level colleges. You can also get admission under Management Quota.

Do mention the exam and councelling you are referring to-
Well the general reasons can be -

1. Your rank or score is not upto the mark.
2. There must be so r fault in choice filling such as filling colleges out of range of your score or rank
3. If councelling is not completed then you might get a seat in subsequent round.

Yes this is possible.If your rank is not good enough for the colleges you filled in the choices of ts eamcet counselling then you will not be allotted any seat.

For example. if your rank is 20,000 (belong to general category) and you fill your choices for osmania university,jntu-h, cbit and vasavi (for core branches like cse,it,ece,eee) then no way you will get a seat because the cutoff ranks for those branches will be less than 8000.
