see you may study biotechnology in b.tech course. for first year of b.tech syllabus is almost same for all streams. however there is many more studies available related to bio technology. after you do your graduation in b.sc on chemistry or zoology or botany and have mathematics in any year of the total duration of graduation courses then you may do m.sc in biotechnology.

B.Tech. Biotechnology stands for Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology. It is an under-graduate engineering program. Biotechnology is said to be a combination of biology and technology and it is an applied science. So in the first year of biotechnology, you will have some subjects of B.Tech course which are required for basics.
