There are various entrance exams conducted in India for admission to various higher education in various streams such as B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech, MBBS, PGDM, MBA, etc. Some of the competitive exams are:

1. JEE Advanced for admission to various IITs

2. JEE-Main for admission to various NITs, GFTIs,etc.

3. GATE for Ph.D programmes in various engineering institutes such as IITs,IISc, etc.

4. UPSC - Civil services

5. CAT/XAT/GMAT/SNAP - Admission to various management institutes
