Yes, you need to give entrance examination for pursuing bsc nursing in st johns , you need to give entrance examinations followed by interview.

And to be eligible you should be female and you need to pass your 10+2 examination with at least 45% of marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English while it's only 40% for SC/ST candidates
