Well there aren't any exams to get research training jobs as such but there are many research oriented internship opportunities that students can apply to like IAS internship or JNCSR internship or Canadian government internship program. You can search about each one of them to get specific information. Also various IITs have their own internship application every year so you can look out for that as well.
